Officers of the South Tower Jail had a huge turnout for their monthly bowling outing. DTO Watson's unbelievable 268 score was not the news of the night. Sgt. Pritchett's 6 year old son "Little Tommy" had a near strike without bumpers!

More than 40 Kilos of cocaine were found in a house in Oak Cliff recently thanks to the work of Deputy Evans and his canine partner “Daffy”. Evans assisted the Texas Department of Public Safety with a search warrant. The Sheriff Dept’s Drug Interdiction Unit continues to ebb the flow of drugs into Dallas County. More on the K-9 unit here.

The Sheriff's Department will be participating in the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 15th. If you would like to join us for this year's walk, we are planning to meet at 8:00 a.m. in the horseshoe parking area of City Hall at 1500 Marilla Street in downtown Dallas. The parade will proceed down Ervay Street, turn left on MLK Blvd. and end at Fair Park.
